During our maths sessions one of the choices the children can make is to make puzzles. They are always so proud of their successes. Flynn asked me if I could take a photo of what Liam and him made to put on here. :)
This term our focus for visual art has been painting. Our inspiration has bee Vincent van Gogh. We have learnt many techniques in colour mixing, textures, brush techniques and coverage on the paper. Here are some examples of "Starry, starry night" and flowers. Flowers are by Gemma and Jack and the Starry, Starry Night picture by Natalie.
Last week with Mrs Day the children were practising their measuring using their 30cm ruler. There are many skills to master with this - keeping the ruler still, measuring from the zero and not from the end of the ruler and taking an accurate measurement. The task was to draw Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the specified heights. It took patience and time but the end result was excellent.
Once a week in Room 4 we head off to the library to make the most of the available technology. At the moment we use the 5 computers in there and take another four from our room to work on Studyladder and up skilling ourselves on some of the programmes. Here are some of the children hard at work.
